ELESKIRT CAMII
The geometry of the main space was obtained by cutting a whole hemisphere with semicircular planes on four sides and placing it on a square base. We shaped the structure to take the load of the dome by forming four large-span arches at the four corners of the four corners, converging on the ground to form a curtain L-column. This massive, structural geometry allows the mosque to be perceived in an equivalent representation from four directions.
In the basement of the main space of the mosque, an additional worship space, which can be used for religious and social activities, has been created in the size of the main worship space, which receives daylight from four sides with kuranglez windows. In the main worship space, the mezzanine floor of the women's mahfeli, which is separated from the perimeter and stands only on columns, is shaped as a gallery space.
The building is designed in reinforced concrete as a single shell dome resting on four large columns. The beams of the minarets were designed as stair steps, thus creating an uninterrupted staircase system.
